A very calming game about survival

Maybe the player could have a different coloured outline (we are effectively patient zero)

It got a little cramped later on and I ended up being stuck in and endless loop of starving and eating my neighbours :D

Really really loved this cells sim. The aesthetics is perfect, the idea is simple and effective.

I really hope that you continue to develop it. Some randoms ideas and thoughts :

  • I really couldn’t understand the mechanics of reproduction and genetics. You should describe it better in the description.
  • For the moment if I activate the energy bars, the new cells don’t have their energy bar displayed. I have to deactivate then reactivate to see them. However it’s pretty cool to be able to see only my own energy bar. I thought that a control scheme like :
    • press K : only my energy bar is visible
    • press K again : all energy bars are visible
    • press K one last time : all energy bars are hidden.
  • It would be nice to have a way to find out which cell you are controlling, sometimes it’s not easy to find it when you are in a group. It should not break the minimalist aesthetics, but maybe you can find something discrete?
  • An autoplay mode where there are only AIs?
  • I guess it’s intentional, but the cell is very hard to control. It would be less frustrating if it was just a little more manageable.

Cool concept but i am a lil confused as to what has to be done in this game.

There isn't a definitive goal, you can just chill around in the cell world I guess :)

Unique concept! It became satisfying when you had a big swarm of cells

Really nice concept :) Visuals and Audio are really cool.

Well done !

PS :

You can't play too much or it start lagging (too much cells I guess ?)

Developer

yes I just realized it can start to lag a bit after a while xd

Developer

I've made a small update to solve the performance bug.
