Wow that a great game , one of my favorite so far .

The collecting is very satisfying , ship a bit slow i think  , maybe just tweaking the star background , would help with the feeling of speed .

Great entry .

Thank you very much! Glad you like it!

Nice Work Ngl the visuals,The Concept, the art, all well done

but May i ask one question : is this game made by a team or just 1 person cuz i feel that this is al lil bit alot for 1 person to handle in 2 Hours and 40 min

I made a platform, gml-raptor, on top of gamemaker studio which helps greatly, not only for jams. Art and sound are taken from asset bundles I own and this game has less than 300 lines of code written exclusively for this game. I made a good plan and design on paper (planning does not count towards the 3 hours) and when I bootet up the in PC it was done quite fast.

Raptor is available here at itch through my profile. I invite you to take a look at its wiki so you get an idea how powerful it is

Very creative take on the theme! The visuals were amazing and I also loved that music :)

Interesting concept that was well executed! Only thing is I found the ship to be a bit too slow, even though it's part of the challenge, it was almost impossible to dodge red pieces if I accidentally got in their way.

Last thing, I love the narrative! Small detail but adds a lot to the game. Made me feel like I was actually on a mission!

Overall great work, keep it up!

Thank you very much! I am really glad you liked it!

As for the ship’s speed… You need to be a bit heroic and hold the thrust button quite some time (almost 50% of your fuel) then the ship has quite a good speed and you can dodge way more easily and only need very little thrust-boosts to keep that speed up. I made the acceleration curve that way to force you to blow out a good part of your fuel - like a burnout when the traffic light turns green.. you don’t want to see your fuel-need for accelerating max.. but once you are at your top speed you don’t need much gas to keep it.

Thanks for the detailed reply! Now that I realised this, it's actually pretty clever game design :)
