Final boss of 2020?

Seriously though, stupidly good graphics in this one, and gameplay I wasn't expecting to enjoy as much as I did.

Developer

Thanks for playing.

We got a lot of mileage out of there being two of us, frankly - the vast majority of entries seemed to be single developer endeavours. So yeah, I think we had more time to work the graphical polish side of things by virtue of that.

Amazing work, hopefully I'm not the one in charge of protecting the earth beacuse I couldn't handle some asteroids :p great job for this game ;) (winner material)

Thanks, we really appreciate the feedback.

Turns out containing a sun is hard work. I wouldn't want that job either.

I love the work you put into the graphics. This game definitely has the most professional page and feel to it.

Thanks a lot for playing.

We definitely benefitted from having two of us on this to get polish on the thing, otherwise you'd be looking at various coloured versions of the Godot logo orbiting one another.

Really nice graphics, with a nice futuristic and dark theme!

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

We like to keep our games topical. The sun exploding is basically ripped from the headlines.

We don't mind as long as it looks cool.
