A little late but I uploaded a review video to youtube and your game is a part of it! Check it out here:
Thank you! It is really cool to see someone play your game. Thank you for the review, nice video! See you in the next one :p
Looking forward to it =D
Awesome game! A really unique interpretation of the episode. I like the variety you added to a typical music game by having to type letters as well, and how you put it in the context of going to get pizza. The hit detection was perfect, which is really hard to do so well done. Nice use of visuals and colour, and the music was well made too.
Wow. That is such a terrific review. I feel honored. Yes, i also take pride in the hit detection being perfect, i did a lot of calculations that i’m that proud of. Since i could only make one song, i tailored the whole game to it. Thank you for the kind words and thank you for hosting the jam, it was awesome.
Fun rhythm game with good balance; easiest level was really easy and hardest level was really difficult. Sometimes, it seemed like the key didn't register even though I pressed it at the right time. Also, you can spam the key to make sure you get it at the right time, so maybe some kind of penalty for doing that?
Thank you for the feedback! Yes you can spam the key, I didn't have the time to include penalties. I'm going to leave the game as it is, but for the future games i'll know how to manage my time better, and will leave less problems in the game. Thanks!
At first I thought some of my keys weren't being registered on hard mode, but then I realized that what I thought were Vs were actually Ys. Not sure if that's what you were running into too. The font was a little misleading to me there.
I was NOT expecting a rhythm game but I liked it!
The typing rhythm thing was really pretty cool! It brought me back to my keyboard class days... Good times. I don't know much more to say. I wish the framerate was a bit smoother but that's probably just me. I apparently can't hit v to save my life. So that's also neat.
Excellent job!
First off, thank you! Indeed, originally it would've been much more, but i made the newbie mistake of thinking too big. Also, the framerate, I don't know why that started happening, it bothered me too but i couldn't figure out why. But i'm glad it brought you back and i'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Cute game and an interesting take of the episode!
Thank you!
It's a cool game concept and the increasing difficulty caters for a wider range of players. The drawing and animations work well for the chilled out feel. The music adds to the atmosphere. Well done! :)
Thanks!
Neat gameplay idea and interpretation of the episode! I enjoyed the graphics and the music was really nice. It's a pretty unique idea for a game and I had fun playing it, great job!
Thank you a lot for the cheerful words! Really! I hope you got the best of it!
I loved the graphics.. i was unable to get some keys even if i pressed them on keyboard.... and after a while i felt bored...prolly coz i only played level 1.... i was pressing both 'Q' and 'P' at the same time..maybe thats a thing players can exploit!! Anyways I loved the graphics
Hello, first, thank you very much, the keys work best when clicking alongside the song, I did all the math and in theory things should match perfectly, it's when the game's at it's most enjoyable. Second, the game is pretty short, it's only my second game and i managed my expectations wrong, I had an impossible scope haha. beginner's mistake i'd say, so i only managed to get one song in the game. The next levels only increase the different combinations of keys you have to press. And yes, you can click them all at the same time if you wish to do so. It's a pretty short game and I think it get's you going for the song's duration two to three times, what worked out best in the end for me was how well the song matched the key clicking if you follow the rythm =) Thank you for the feedback.
