Great use of Twine to make a more puzzley game of sorts. In fact, pretty much everything about this game is great: the writing, the visual effects, the retro sensibility.
Hm. Playing this game was like a puzzle, trying to figure out what you had in mind for us to use in each situation. Some were easy; some took a bit to figure out.
I really liked it. This is a great concept, and executed perfectly. I agree 100% with Snoother's comments as well. This would be an interesting Twine to expand on, add some more story (especially with the ending), and see what happens when you use the wrong item on the wrong situation. Great game! (Also, great title and cover image as well!)
(btw, I'm in this Twiny Jam as well! My game is HCF.)

You manage to fit so much into the game using that retro text-adventure brevity. Wish I'd thought of that! Also really liking the css effects
