Thank you, I'm glad you think so! C: And I'm glad you liked Rachel!

Ok!  I’ll give that a try later tonight.

Yes, they're both in the downloads folder.

Thank you!  Josh & Khai really did a fabulous job on this!

Thank you!

How did you get the game to run!  I'm having a lot of trouble.  (I'm on Windows.)

I didn't think the snake imagery was heavy handed; I thought it was handled just right. & yeah, happiness is definitely in the eye of a beholder!  Often, it's a goalpost that constantly moves.

For sure!  When you're defined by others and don't know who you are, finding meaning in life can seem impossible.  The ending is melancholic in that way.

This is definitely my favorite game in the jam, I hope you place high in the rankings.  You did a fabulous job!

For real!!!

Hi, I downloaded the pck and exe files for Windows, but every time I try to run the game, it stops responding and crashes.  Help?

Another game with literal beholders!  How fun!  I love the judge beholder's designs.  I cringed a lot reading the jurors' dialogue, what a bunch of right-wing wackjobs.  I assume that was your intention, but I found it unpleasant to read unfortunately.  Overall, a good game!

A very sad, interesting game.  I am still processing it.  "Good liars never stop."--that's a powerful line.  The art & music were very beautiful.

I thought it was just gonna be a cute little piece about BFFs/lesbians, but boy was I wrong!  I liked it though!  Also, the backgrounds & sprites are gorgeous!

Very interesting!  I liked it.  Good job!

This is just fantastic, almost perfect I think.  I love how you interpreted the theme.  My only problem: the orange text of the first person is very hard to read unfortunately, I had to squint & lean forward a lot for that.  The rest of the text is easier to read, but can still be a challenge at times.

I'll be honest: there's a lot about this game that I don't understand.  I feel like it's really going over my head.  Despite that, the story & characters are interesting, and the use of 3D graphics was good.  I like it, but I feel like I'm missing a lot.

Great opening line!  The backgrounds are incredible.  I was super bad at suggesting the right book, and I ended up closing the window in embarrassment due to my failure.  I might return to this when I feel less ashamed lol.

Fuck me, this game is a thinker.  It's so beautiful and sad.  I love the ouroboros on the title screen and in the UI.  It made me think about the fact that if I was given a choice to dip out of life and live another life somewhere else, I would have done that a million times by now.  But if I did that, I never would have seen myself get better, find friends, find love, find peace.  Damn, man.  I'm crying right now, this game really touched me.

EDIT: I'm not done!!!  The ending, man, the discontentment with contentment, the realization that even when their dream is fulfilled, the main character is still not satisfied.  They hunger for more, but they don't know what that "more" is.  Very relatable.

Very cool game!  Love how you made a stat raiser for this!  I had trouble balancing my stats though, I'll admit.  Regardless, I really like it!

Eye of the beholder--literally!  Love that interpretation of the theme!  The art is great and the amount of CGs is insane!  It reminded me of my own experiences with medical problems and in mental health center, trying to decide whether you're fine.  Sometimes you lie to yourself so many times about being fine that you don't know what fine is anymore.  Anyway, you did an awesome job!

Very raw and relatable (I'm trans).

Wow, the UI is amazing!!!  I loved the little changes you could see in the bot with your feedback.  The story fascinates me--was the bot intentionally based on Iris, or did the bot simply mold itself to Otto's needs along the way?  Very interesting.

Very interesting story!  I loved the ending, and the UI especially stands out.  You did a great job on this!

I love how you immediately got Glarence pissed and mad, that's amazing! X3 And yes, almond water is a backrooms thing!

Thank you!  Everyone on the team did such a great job on this! C:

If you really want to read more, I write a lot with & about these characters on my Tumblr& Pillowfort.  The links I gave go to the "gladiel" tag, which is Glarence & Adiel content, but the general "romancethebackrooms" tag has everything in general.

Thank you very much!  I'm glad you liked it! C:

Thank you for playing and for the feedback!  I'm also aroace, though I didn't realize that until years after I made this game, and that definitely influenced this game significantly.

I'm really enjoying this book so far! :D

Sad & beautiful.  Thank you for sharing. <3

That's fair, I respect that!  Thank you!

Was wondering if there will ever be a Discord at any point for these Velox challenges!  It would be cool to be in community with the developers I've seen around.

I posted my review!  I loved this book a whole lot and think it's excellent.  Thank you for the review copy, this is a new favorite of mine for sure!

Will there possibly be an .epub version in the future?

I'm glad you liked it! :D

This is a super cool idea!  I love how you brought it to life!

I say keep it casual!

Thank you!

This is a fun little game!  I like it!

This is a fun little recreation!  I like the clicky sound design.  And the ending screen is very cute!

Figured I'd put the review I made in the comments as well!  I think it's a great story, and I hope a lot of people purchase it--after all, it's for a good cause! https://norbezdoes.wordpress.com/2024/12/07/bez-reviews-independent-books-4-his-...

Gotcha, np!
