what a fantastic game. it explores relationships and the tide and ebbs of how relationships develop and deteriorate over time and place and events and the volatility of it all provides excellent fodder for rp.
i used the game mechanics to gm a one-shot for my friends in a space horror setting and it's fascinating to watch the relationships people cling to and the ones they run from let go the duress of fear and survival. someone already said it serves excellent for a session zero and i agree! but it also works amazing as a standalone game where you're heavy focused more on rp and interpersonal relationships. if you're considering getting the game you totally should. it's extremely worth it.
High on my list of games to play with more casual and newer RPG players. Solid, simple, flexible-lengthed, and always full of vibes - both its own, and whatever you bring to it. I love street magic both as a game on its own terms and a setting creation tool for other games or creative writing. Plus the art. The art!
