Very interesting concept, I love farming games AND I love vampires. Nice mix. I would have liked more to do, it felt a bit empty. Would have been great if the vampires actually ate me if I didn't feed them. But that didn't seem to happen, not on my playthrough at least.

This was an interesting game, but I didn't seem to be able to make any money even when I had harvested a lot. It seems the amount of vampires who come to your stand is random? So some nights only a few would come buy from me and other nights a huge queue would form up - but then before the queue is cleared, the night is already over, so I often ended up with less money than I had started with, even when I had leftover legs and arms. Really unique idea though! It was fun to play.

Such a great idea! When I saw the name I thought it was going to be more about the challenge of trying to grow vegetables at night or something, but the arms/legs thing (and specially the smoothies) surprised me. Only down side for me was that I found a bit hard to know the exact position to harvest.

Love the concept, grotesque field of twitching baby legs overlaid with calming music is my aesthetic. There was just the lack of incentive to continue playing, as I didn't see any way to spend my money. But that's understandable in a game jam. Nice project overall!

P.S. I walked to the bottom left corner where there's no fence and just dropped out of the world :d

Developer

thanks :)

I had planned a lot more content, but ran out of time. I wasted too much time over engineering my own codebase for the first three days. Then decided to switch to unity and get something working.

I wanted to make you turn into a bat and fly back, if you fell off the map.

P.S. if you run along the fence pressing to the side at the same time, you will fall off too. Something funky with unity physics which i dont understand yet.

I gotta say, harvesting legs and making blood smoothies was as creepy as it was funny!

Hi! I stumbled upon a bug in your game - or maybe you wanted it this way - but to harvest anything, you actually have to stand in a specific place *in between* the tiles, not on the tile. Plus, I'm not really sure if there's any incentive in the game to earn money - can we do something with it? :) Kudos for making your game!

Thanks for the feedback :)

  • For the "bug", it isn't really a bug; bad gameplay implementation, however. If you notice you must be in front of the tile, and pointing in the direction of the tile. When a tile is selected, the "produce" on that tile will start to fade in and out, indicating you are working with that specific tile. This doesn't help when you are trying to plant new crops.
  • This was an entry to the VampireJam, and I simply ran out of time to implement the other game mechanics which used money, outside of your farm. However, planting costs money, and starting the night costs money, if you at anytime do not have enough money to start the night, you will lose the game.

I hope you enjoyed the little amount of entertainment which this game has to offer. Since it was for a gamejam, I do not intend to make any modifications or alterations to it.

Yeah, I fully get you! Good job pulling this off in 7 days anyway <3
