I like the idea of a top down game where you can click and drag items. The core mechanic was really neat. As the other comment said the wall of text was rather overwhelming, but I saw you had limited time because of school. It's nice you made time to submit to the jam. I hope you and your co-jammer continue to work together to make more things.
I too made a top down game but in space. Please consider playing my submission and taking the time to let me know what you think 👍🏾
I really like the gameplay mechanics. Very interesting! Great work!
My biggest feedback is to teach the player how to play the game through gameplay rather than a giant wall of text. That was a bit scary to see in the how to play section and very overwhelming! haha :)
Thanks! That was the original intent for the how to play section, but we ran out of time between going to school and all the fixes we needed to make. We were up at 1AM on a school night making last minute sound effects, voice recordings, and item spawners the night before the jam ended.
Love this one, reminds me of a folklore from my country! The gameplay was very nice, i really enjoyed throwing random objects at the enemies its such a good mechanic. As for the art and music they were very fitting. I kinda had a hard time finding some of the stuff for the fountain and a map would be helpful to find my way back to it but overall I enjoyed the experience. Great work!
Thank you very much! I was thinking of adding a map, but I would need to think of how to do it based on how I coded the map to work (since the rooms themselves don't change positions, but rather the doors between them randomized). Hopefully you didn't have too much trouble with the game, since I discovered about 10 minutes after the deadline that there was a game-crashing bug and an issue that caused it to frame-drop in some rooms after about 10 minutes of playing on a single attempt.
Luckily for me it did not crash and I had a good few rounds of it. Though I did accidentally skip the intro the first time round and I couldnt watch it again. Btw forgot to say this before but awesome menu system, its very different to the other jam entries.
