This is super chill and refreshing. A nice slow but thoughtful experience! This really captures the calm of live before a major change like university or moving out from your home town.

Amazing take on the theme and I really like the multiple dialogue options to choose from.

Great job! :)

Thanks so much! Glad you found it fun! Every detective starts somewhere!  :)

Nice job for a weekend project! Really like the concept and the risk /reward factor for heading out to sea as well as the cute pixel art style. One main issue i found was I seem to have been given 1001 fish when i caught only 1 and heaps of money which I presume was just test code but despite that the experience was solid! Keep on jammin! :)

I really enjoyed this one, the fantastic contrasting art and vivid shadows really add to the atmosphere. The music fits well and I really liked the different sprite forms. It has many elements of a great puzzle platformer and honestly well done for completing this in the small time frame!

Thank you! :)

This was a fantastic experience and I really loved the whole feel of the game. It was very dark and you had to strategically take out the ghosts while moving to get the keys and keeping your teddy bear close! Nice of you to also include the lightning coming before the thunder, small but very immersive feature!

Really good job on this one! :)

Thanks for giving it a go till the end! Sorry about the abrupt ending, I had to rush the endgame so once the objective turns to "apprehend the murderer", it just instantly chooses whoever you speak to next to accuse :(  Its not ideal, would have loved to let the player actually press a button or interact with a different prompt. Hope you enjoyed the experience for what it is though!

I really enjoyed the farming aspect of this game, really was a calm rewarding experience and it was fun to collect each crop individually. Not sure how to win the game though so in the end I lost but nice twist at the end!

I will echo what some others have mentioned with the UI overlap but the experience was still good so well done!

This game needs more ratings! It was super fun and the art is fantastic for the game, especially the god of destruction. I had a blast, in the end got like 655820 score! Congrats on the destructive experience!

One thing I wish I could do is destroy the buildings too but maybe thats just me XD

Its the 3 before you jump to the ending area prior to the storm, those are difficult as they hover over the abyss! Pretty happy with that result though! :D

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you liked the theme and setting of the game. Good point on the names, I should have had something that displays who you are interacting with. Definitely will work on the dialoge system to see how I can speed up the text with a button click. Happy jammin!

Fantastic! Can't go wrong with that inspiration!

Great stuff, solid job nonetheless especially for a jam! :)

This was a tough one! Poor old Alfred needs to run around the place trying to keep the peace! :D I only managed to save 2 members by the end but had a lot of fun!

Well done on making this unique and challenging experience. Definitely a cool way to interpret a storm!

That sounds super cool! A long term story over multiple game jams sounds like a fun way to tell the complete story. I'll drop you a follow to see the progress if you end up doing it. Best of luck!

Very cool way of interpreting the theme! Really casual gameplay initially and then very stressful finale! I managed to end with 42 talismans! Congrats on this game and happy jammin! :)

This gives me early GTA vibes! Very unique concept and solid game play loop execution.

Really fun experience!

Thank you! Thanks for raising this point, the dialogues can sometimes take a while to fully appear

Thanks! :)

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thats a good one, very fun to try and interpret as pixel art too!

What a fun little game and a unique interpretation! Reminds me that I need to do my chores also XD

Really enjoyed the arrow key based skill checks, was a fun addition to the game.

Also the music was well fitting and made the whole event seem super tense!

Well done!

Wow this was a very refreshing experience! A super well polished story driven game, with really cool graphics. The commentary on the different forms of political rule was super interesting and made me pause a bit. It really echoed many ideas from Aristotle. Loved the message at the end also!

Really hoped the experience would be longer, definitely something that deserves part 2! ;)

I really enjoyed this experience! The flow of the game was fantastic, planting some seeds and watering them to get different currency was a slick idea! Super cool that you have a hoarde countdown so that I can tell when I need to get ready to battle! Also great work on the sprites and theme, the addition of a bell during the invasion really sells the medieval setting.

Some contructive feedback to help in the future:

1. I will echo what someone else said, the game will not put me back into farm mode after a certain wave and it makes it impossible to keep playing.

2. Also I found some of the melee enemies to get stuck on growing crops making them easy to kill.

3. Finally, I am unsure if the resolution scales between different monitors as my game seems to have had most of the farm off screen but luckily I could still play.

Really well done on the game in the time limit!

Super fun experience, very nice introduction into the game and the phenomenal art. Something quite unique in this jam and I am all for it!

I did really enjoy the difficult but water like controls, it really made it stand out from other games though sometimes I would just fly past a pearl or into death if i was not careful :D Congrats on the submission!

Really appreciate it! I am so happy you pointed out the pixel paintings I hid around the place, those were super fun to make and you are the first one to mention it! :) Did you have a favourite one?

Thank you so much fellow murder mystery puzzle enjoyer! :)  Super glad you enjoyed the story and graphics!

Yes, always someting to improve and thats great. Means there is work to do! Good luck in the jam!

Thanks so much! Really glad you had a good experience and enjoyed the short story :)

Will definitely check your game out and give it a rate too!

I am super glad you enjoyed the experience! Definitely agree with the retry button / not having such an abrupt end. Wish I had spent some more time on it so I could make the ending more interesting!

That is hilarious! Thanks for finding the monarch bug. I never actually thought of interacting with the monarch and in turn accuse him of the murder XD, 10 points to you for trying that! Happy jamming!

Thanks so much for the kind words, I am super glad you enjoyed the premise of the game and gave it a go multiple times! Made my day! :D I really like the idea you mentioned of a Scooby-Doo esque reveal at the end, I should have spent some time on that to wrap up the experience better.

Will definitely take your advice with Godot, it was my first time making a game in it and I have had some people reach out saying that the new Godot version is better suited for web builds so hopefully I can use that next time! Happy jammin!

Thanks so much for playing! Yeah the main loop of the game is to collect the clues and apprehend the culprit though I wish I had some more time to flesh out the objectives and, as you mention, indicators to guide the player thru the experience. I get the frustration at the end, maybe I could have had a continue btn that lets you rewind and try to find the real culprit! Cheers! :)

I found this to be a superb experience! Gives me a Civilisation x Total War vibe and I love it. Honestly surprised that you made this in the jam time as its no doubt a lot of work for all the different features. Fantastic entry into the jam, big well done! :)

Hey! I was just looking for games to play so this is a great post to follow!
https://cursedsoldier.itch.io/murder-mystery-express
As for my entry, it is a simple train journey turned murder mystery! You play as a ticket collector onboard a luxury express train carrying unique characters based around 1930s Europe. Feel free to give it a go, would love some constructive criticism as it is my first Godot game :)

Thank you so much! I am super happy you liked the game's vibe and experience!

I am super glad you enjoyed the experience! :) Hope you were able to find the true culprit!

Thanks so much! Really glad you found it interesting and unique, well worth the long hours :D

Thanks so much, glad you gave it a second play thru, means a lot! Hope you found the culprit. Good point, I really should have made that so much clearer, will keep that in mind for future jams! :)

All the best if you do!

Really cool tower defense style game! I loved the world you designed around it with cool lore elements being broadcast by the radio throughout the game. Great work!

Thanks for the persistence! This is definitely something that will save me hassle in future game jams, so you are a lifesaver! Happy jammin!
