This is awesome! Super polished for a jam game. I'm really into the backtracking through old areas in order to do new things. Really adds to the atmosphere compared to if it were just a linear set of levels. Also really liked the design of the shrine things, lots of character.
I ended up getting stuck at the part underground. Looks like one of the platforms disappeared for some reason. Not sure if that was a bug or if I'm too dumb to figure it out.
Either way such a great entry!
Yeah Sorry about that, I was aware of it but didn't have enough time to fix it.
Either way I'm glad you enjoyed, Not sure if I finish but I'm attempting to make this into a proper game :)
Pretty enjoyable, i found many bugs tho
Yeah not surprised, I'm still rather new to this so I expected there to be many bugs :/
Glad you enjoyed it though.
The art's really cute! I like what you did with the instructions - I could have done with more of them. I got tripped up a few times not understanding that the blue meter had to be full to do the orb & I left without the orb when I did fill it so had to backtrack.
I really suck at platformers to be honest, so I ragequit after attempting the disappearing platforms - I ended up so far away when I fell. I can tell you put a lot of care into the level design though! I found the dragonflies frustrating at first, but once I mastered it it began to feel quite zen. :) It was smart to try and not make the player lose too much progress when they die.
Thanks, The character design was kind of inspired by Fez.
Also sorry for the confusion, I didn't get enough time to finish all of the instructions.
And as for the checkpoints I just thought it would be really annoying having to go ALL the way back just to try it again.
