Ideas

Does anyone have ideas for the Jam Focus: Multi-Use? I can't think of anything. Feel free to comment with some ideas to help. Thank you!

I’ve got a handful. I’m looking at it two ways- things that can be used for a variety of purposes and things that have a certain number of uses before they’re used up. I thought of a potion-making game where ingredients can be combined in different ways to create potions with different effects. Or a game like BotW where your weapons degrade and eventually break- maybe every weapon has a unique effect or play style that you have to strategize when to use. But I guess it all depends on what the theme is.

Did I hear Ideas? Well

Crafting simulator where every ingredient causes a chance reaction. fighting simulator on the side, but mobs don't spawn unless instigated by a crafting ingredient or recipe
First person shooter but everything breaks into higher damage forms, bullets guns, armor, enemies.
Armageddon survival where people is the most limited resource and can be made OP with different tech trees using different resources or people
multi-Demensional platformer where 'vision' (how much of the map you see) is a currency to spend on unlocking dimension-based upgrades like extra-dimensional platforms or seeing different dimensions (assume 360 degrees is usual vision, 60 to unlock easy mode platforms, platforms would be invisible unless vision points are put in and you only have 300 now)
Cleaner gun simulator where incidents happen and soap or acid might be more useful in your gun, remember though you are only hired to repair and clean up
Your weapons are practically useless, but they are possible to chain attacks with, level 1-10 correlate to your weapons, and how you beat them can change how the weapon works, level 11 should be impossible to beat with any one weapon, but what weapons they use and how fun they are should depend on their choices
Dice rollers, pair dice together to complete small challenges, each dice you use impacts the next challenge and over time the dice will have more character
policies, ban or promote certain ideas in your cultural influence, these policies might weaken allies in the future or strengthen their resilience
Dungeon master, premade dungeons exist to challenge parties, the issue is you can't kill the party again, luckily you have traps to add to the more dangerous sections or level up your players, pick a dungeon, learn the traps and help your players
Infinite code, your game took way to long, and it's quite hard, but you have cheat codes, yes, they break everything, but sometimes that's worth it or maybe even necessary
Paper and pen, you have to pick how to split up your paper into different attacks before the level, during the level you have to use ink to power up your attacks, both ink and paper are limited
I feel challenged, are levels start off impossible, some idiot made it so you gain challenge rewards before the level though, sure it's harder now but you must pick your poison
Distracted, you can only attack after you got attacked, attacks must also be based off attacks inflicted, you have to pick attacks before entering a level and they'll have certain marks indicating when they can be used, don't get too distracted. BTW you also die at full health
Play list, attack patterns called songs, in between songs is a cord where both play and can synergize. attacks can also cancel out other attacks in some situations
Older than level one, every level is a play on the level before it, and everything sticks from level one, you'll have to start over once you get new abilities and better optimize to use the level objects again
The simple axe, every item synergizes with an axe... that's it
Multiplayer, ever thought the puzzle was possible with only one player, think again!!, certain markers switch player locations with other players, or boost players in different ways
Switches and levers, everything is an option in the game, but for some reason every interactable (including settings options) switches what rules are on and off, opps
A box in a room, the box can touch the floor but what if it somehow had it touch the wall, then could it reach the roof? (I'm not gonna give any ideas for this one, I bet it'll already be done)
Candy box, is it a box full of candy or eldritch horrors... only time can tell, well it's probably both and many more, a very useful box indeed
Number theory, you most use different numbers to protect and shield yourself, the numbers randomly arrange themselves at the end of each round, and can be affected by the symbols' waves attacking you, making them change number
What is a weapon? you can find different ingredients you most use for surviving and in order to make a single weapon, any weapon wins the game, but can you do it?

(that's it for now)
