Good morning everyone. In yesterday's email we sent out the criteria we will be looking at when a game is analysed.

Posting them here as well so it's easier to learn about them.

Execution:

  1. one full play session
  2. how the game looks and feels, how smooth it moves when you touch the screen
  3. how stable it is (it is not allowed for it to crash or to move jerkily when you play it)
  4. good user interface - the score is tracked, there are buttons, etc.
  5. graphics - nice colors, nice in-game elements, animations, sounds, music
  6. it follows the given topic

Gameplay:

  1. how easy it is for you to figure out how to play it without having a tutorial
  2. how fun it is
  3. how rewarding it is
  4. sparks competitiveness in you
  5. variety of the game play: the speed changes, you can change between different in-game elements, the action changes

Replayability:

  1. would you play it again?

Virality:

  1. is it inspired by a viral trend?
  2. can it become the next Flappy Bird?

Creativity:

  1. is it mind-blowing?
  2. original
  3. does it have AI generated elements - graphics, sound, gdd
