Our team is composed of 4 first year university students with moderate to no previous game development experience. Wintermelon Jam 2023 is our very first game jam!

This project is the first roguelike survivor game that any of us have ever made. Only one of us has had previous game development experience of under a year.

How does your game relate to the theme?
Our game is charming due to the winter environment that it is set in. The cutesy sprites and assets in the game add to the cozy and charming feel of the game.

Our game also revolves around our innovative "charming" mechanic, where players can "charm" an enemy, as in control/manipulate their powers and have their attacks as their own.

Finally, our game includes charms, as in upgrades that the player can choose to make themselves stronger.
