This may sound dumb, but can you use any game engine? Even if its old?

Submitted

Yes! Of course! I've seen people use everything from roblox to scratch to unity. You could submit a minecraft mod if you so desired.

Scratch? This would make things easier. Why didnt i do that from the start. Well its kinda good coz im using gamemaker 5 and it makes it look kinda old and i like that.

A reason not to not have used scratch from the start is that some people view it as less of a game engine and would rate you lower for it. I disagree, but they do generally get lower ratings.

I kinda agree with those people. Scratch is slow and it kinda dosent let you do anything. It dosent even let you resize the game window

Roblox isn't allowed in most though as it requires external software.

Yeah. i'm using scratch.

Yeah, you can technically use any game engine. The most important thing is the game itself, not what game engine it is made in. Hope that helped!

Well good coz i use gamemaker 5 i wanna learn a better engine like unity but i dont even know how c# works

You could switch to GameMaker 2, the latest version GameMaker. It s very good.
