Not to bad good job, issue i was having is the enemy sometimes spawns right on the player and instantly damages the player
Nice small game, I do think it would indeed work well as a mobile game!
I think you asked for some more detailed feedback in the forum, so here are some things I noticed and ideas I had while playing:
- Others have brought it up already, but the main problem right now is enemies spawning right on top of the player, that should definitely be fixed, it de-facto imposes a random time limit on the player they have no control over
- The last frame of the explosion staying on screen right now makes it feel like those are pickups that spawned from enemies. Not a big deal - but maybe there is potential here to actually include some sort of points or currency pickup from enemies?
- I could see this working quite well with enemies spawning in waves and there being an upgrade shop mechanic in between waves, maybe with currency from enemy pickups. I'd imagine it similar to Vampire Survivor-like games.
- If you want to build on this more long-term, either looking for a sprite online or creating one yourself for the player ship that is more cohesive with the art style of the enemies could be a good idea
