Wow, this one was really good! Your art style is always striking and fits this very well. The topics it handles are brought across well, I think, the characters are interesting but also still feel relatable. I was also amazed how long it was - all while not feeling like a drag. More than enough variety to keep you invested.

Really liked this! Especially the ending - very fitting for the questions posed before it. Not much more to say, other than it was enjoyable and induced some good thinking.
As technical feedback: I had problems with the web version and mouseview in Firefox on Manjaro KDE Linux - it seems like even in fullscreen mode, the mouse did not get captured. I would have to check, but I think Godot has a way to force mouse capturing within the... window manager? Something like that. That could be a quick addition (probably after the jam).
The downloaded version worked like a charm in wine, though, so no issue in enjoying the game :)

I wouldn't even say it's on you - you are 100% correct there should have been a dialog box. You are not the only person who can be clumsy with a touchscreen, after all. I certainly am too. Hope you are not beating yourself up too much, I can so easily see this happening to myself as well.

I'll definitely keep working at it, but I'll have to pace myself over the coming weeks, unfortunately, there is still a bit of personal stress going on, so the first big update for this will have to wait for a bit, but I definitely won't drop this project or game dev in general.
There were so many great games in this jam, I'm surprised and feel honoured I placed so well, thank you, and thanks to everyone that created, played, enjoyed and critiqued.

Ah, unfortunately, I wasn't able to play this properly... Ran it in wine on Linux on my potato PC, even on very low settings I had, like, one frame per second. It looks really good, though, and the intro movie played smoothly, as did the main menu. Maybe I can revisit this after the jam if either something on my end changed or maybe better compatibility or optimisation happened in further development.
Wow, I am glad I was able to play this before the deadline - this one is amazing, both of you did an amazing job here! I love how the art style reminded me of old PC-98 games, and the writing was great, the characters felt real and likeable and went through good arcs. The music was also picked very well. Easy 5/5, amazing job!
I like the Wario-Ware like gameplay. I assume it is just an endless game? I played until day 15, had a very low score, only like 600 something - I was really bad at the backwards numbers, only managed it once by sheer luck of them being clustered closely together. Wished I could have joined the people on the march and organising adventure....
Nice, I really like the gameplay and atmosphere as a quick experience. Took me a few tries, but I managed to earn the privillege to sacrifice myself for my glorious company. Joke's on them, though, because I managed to escape my situation by clipping through level geometry near the tanker afterwards, thus escaping on my own terms.
With that, here are a few bugs I noticed, if you want to continue working on it: Firstly, some of the turrets seemingly randomly didn't work properly. I checked that they were fueled up, and they were, but they didn't seem to shoot at all. This also sometimes seemingly fixed itself on its own - maybe I missed some mechanic behind the scenes? Also, at one point, enemy spawning just stopped for about a minute or so, maybe two, and I wandered through emptiness, already thinking I might have to restart, but it suddenly picked up again. Actually got a bit of a spook out of me, as an enemy had spawned behind me and I turned around, already having got used to everything being empty.
Overall, really great, especially the atmosphere. Good job!
I liked them all! Well-made and good texts, too. Always been a fan of plaintext files. Thankfully, I am pretty immune to shopping for fun because I simply don't have the money 😅
The gardening for free made me think - there's a lot of unused areas in the outskirts here that could work to plant something guerilla style 🤔 That could make for another chapter.
Also loved the cardboard one a lot. Overall just interesting and fun reads :)
Yes, I agree completely on the self-care parts. Fundamentally, it makes what is a collective responsibility of society (the mental health and wellbeing of people) into one of individual responsibility only, and personal guilt. It also opens up legitimising harmful behaviours, both collectively and by the individual. Collectively, because the consequences of systematic problems are to be handled by those affected on their own, instead of addressing the cause. Individually, because it can intensify (self-)isolation from the connections within society, which should have been there to help. (Note that I am not saying self-care isn't important, just that these effects exist when it is put into our context).

I like it, nice random choose-your-own-adventure style game, did induce the "what will happen if..." experimental high for the time it lasted. Feel you on getting to depressed to work on something, capitalism indeed bad - but at least I learned the true meaning of christmas.
One small thing: The detection for interactions seems a bit off, I had to stand at a distance from objects to interact with "e", and the present for example wasn't interactable from all angles. That made me think at one point I was softlocked (because I thought I couldn't exit my room at all).
But that's a small thing, I enjoyed it a lot, actually :)

Not 100% sure what you mean about the intro sequence? The one where the game is loaded from the floppy disk? Or the sequence explaining what has happened? I'm uncertain how to make them much more retro to be honest 😅
I will continue to work on it once I managed to get through the other entries of this jam, but probably not at a very fast pace - but stay tuned, there will be updates. It's a bit of a passion project to find perspectives on the conundrum of a post-revolutionary, post-capitalist societal order.
Excellent work on the art, animations and music/audio! I'm afraid I can't cover the PGECF (Post Game Enjoyment Courtesy Fee), but I will share my amazing business idea to make up for it: As you are good at making pixel art, have you ever thought of making it more soulless, not making it yourself but let an algorithm make it, and then selling it as NFTs? 1 billion$ idea right there, no need to thank me, I know, I was just born a business genius.
In all seriousness though, this is really great, I envy your artistic talent!
A really nice experience, the ending was also quite funny and what I would expect if a movement like that swept the streets. :D
The game is really nicely polished, and the mechanics work well, making for being able to quickly pick it up and still having to learn a bit before being able to finish a run (took me 5 runs to win). I appreciate the nod to the historical event that inspired it, too.

It is an interesting concept, but I fear I'm not a big fan of the metric - it seemed to not really be a good predictor of anything (showcased by the vast majority of nations scoring 4 or 5, but maybe that was the point you wanted to make?) and doesn't really help with how to utilise those resources - it also flattens a lot of complexity into a single number.
Unfortunately, I ran into the same problem as ClassyKraken - is there a bug preventing the second body to be processed? Is the game still unfinished? I think I got what the overall gameplay is and how it's supposed to work, but nothing happened when trying to process the second body after storing the book.
Hmm, I wasn't really able to see what I was doing, not able to read cyrillic, but is the game finished? I reached an area in the brick wall maze, where it prompted me to press E, but nothing happened. Still needs some development overall, I think - the audio settings also did not persist once I started a game. Lastly - I am not sure how well it connects to this jam? I's hard to say without being able to read the text.
Really good take on the whole "heaven, but capitalism" twist, I enjoyed the art style and music a lot. I think I got all the endings, at least I got everything that was in the gallery - I really liked the end confrontation and the possible outcomes, highlighting how meaningless individual anger and violence becomes in the face of a system that can easily adapt to it. I agree, that an additional ending where the whole of heaven unites in solidarity would have been a powerful addition, but even as it is - Amazing work!
