Since you obviously have no idea how virustotal works, I recommend that you read this page:

TLDR (because I suspect you won't actually read it): It's a false positive. The exact reason virustotal exists. Had you used the scanner that detected a virus in this case, you would've falsely assumed it to be a virus. 

Thankfully virustotal is there too tell you that it's just the one scanner that is wrong and it isn't actually a virus. (Or trojan, or worm, or whatever)

Nope, I hadn't read that and thanks for the information, but one tries to be cautious with all that since one is not a computer expert and that is what I rely on, but thanks You for the clarification.

You know, maybe I'm hanging around the wrong corners of the internet too much, because that's not the reaction I expected. 

If I came across as a little harsh, I want to apologize.

And as someone working in IT, you are absolutely correct in being cautious. The biggest security risk nowadays are the mistakes we make ourselves.
