Hahaha, this game made me laugh many times. I love the fact that is a family project.

I love the "building your traps as you escape" mechanic. This idea has potential if you could add more traps, more enemy types, and a strategic element like deciding where and when you should place certain traps.

The visuals are cute. The SFX are hilarious.

I feel the movement speed was too high to be able to control the player properly and dodge enemies.

Nice job!

So glad our game make you laugh :) I did a lot too making it, especially when implementing the audio SFX. I have plenty of ideas to develop the gameplay and I will work on it after the jam rating period ends. You're not the first one to tell me about the speed that is too high, I'll work  on it too (someone ask me for a speed toggle between a walk and a run speed). if you have traps ideas, I'll be happy to ear them!

The first one that comes to mind is a cannon or something that shoots projectiles. Also, you could make something that attracts zombies, like a brain decoy, and use it to bring them to a trap or just to gather them in a point so you can take a break. That would be a "passive"  structure.

Brain decoy is a good idea. In the zombie wandering audio sfx list, there's a zombie that says "cerveaaaauuuuu" like a zombie. The word "cerveau" stands for "brain" in French haha. My son already drew a fireball sfx, but I think that is for another playable character that I couldn't integrate in the first iteration of the game :) Thanks for your ideas !
