(edited for tone changes. I struggle with tone in text, so I figured this might come across as passive-aggressive instead of simple disappointment.)

Hey, I found out why, in my case.

I submitted my games in this account. Since Desire: Girls with no Dreams has a different team behind it, enough that we made a different account and a different e-mail for it, I thought it’d be the right thing to send it separately. This wasn’t an attempt at double dipping, just being organized and giving the right amount to the three other people involved in DGWND (and not in any other of my games); I’m baffled that’s how it was interpreted, because I’ve advertised this game everywhere, it would be really stupid of me to just treat this as a “double money” cheat.

Regardless, the staff immediately assumed malice and couldn’t bother to even send an e-mail in response saying “hey this is why there was a removal, bye”. Now, I understand that their plate is more than full, that they’ve got way too much work for a small team of people, but a single e-mail, or any sort of notification would’ve sufficed. I would’ve quickly clarified the situation if this was against the rules and re-filled whatever form was needed. Instead, now everyone involved will be getting absolutely nothing of this life-changing amount of money (cuz of currency differences, mind you- it might not seem like a lot to people who live in USA or Europe). Our work will continue to be unfunded.

I am writing this post for clarification and to really drive home how much this lack of communication screwed me- and everyone else- involved. The bundle isn’t only about the money, either, it’s about getting a larger reach on these games and creators.

In response to my e-mails, I was informed it was my fault for not clarifying before and it’s no longer possible to add any games to the bundle. There was 0 communication behind it, before. Up to the second half of may, all the games were listed there, I checked multiple times, and eventually stopped because the lack of communication made me think everything was okay.

Frankly this has been a punch to the gut and I’m finding it hard to have any drive to continue creating. I’m glad to have a support system that can cheer me up; hopefully I’ll feel better in the future.

I hope that other people find benefit in this bundle, still. And of course, there is always next year. If anyone still wants to see my works, everything can be found here.
