so I tried moving my saved files “www” from the update of 5.2 to the new folder of 8.2 but I don’t have any of the updates

Did you move the whole "save" folder from 5.2 "www" to 8.2 "www" or only its files? And did you copy the file global.rpgsave from 5.2 to 8.2 "www/save"?

I just moved the whole www file from 5.2 to 8.2, and I did not copy the global.rpg to 8.2

The 'www' folder contains a lot of game data (images, scripts, audio files, etc), not only the save files. If you move it from 5.2 to 8.2, you are overwriting everything new in 8.2.
To update, first unzip 8.2 again to recover the data you lost from adding 5.2 'www' to it.
Then, access your 'www' folder in version 5.2 and copy the 'save' folder that is inside into the 'www' folder of version 8.2.
