When this prototype came out, only Oculus and Vive existed, so that's all it knows.

that makes sense i guess?  nevermind why update a prototype right? how about the full version? do you have a pico to test, or are open to testing? other games detect my controller as oculus touch through steam vr, so this game's behavior is unexpected. unless quest also didnt exist at the time, then maybe i understand since the first oculus controllers used external tracking.

That's right, it was just Oculus Rift back then. The next version only uses SteamVR and should work as you would expect it to.
