Personally I believe that it's all a wasted potential.

The first idea - the "run away from a yandere at school" - was promising, had an interesting gameplay, and it was actually scary due to how well Saiko's AI worked for it's time.

But then updates stopped, despite of how people already bought it, without receiving the end product.

Adding another character could be good if executed in the first idea. Changing locations absolutely destroyed the whole premise of what we thought we're going into. Her being a zombie changes the whole idea and reshaped it - in my opinion - into a worse version of what we could've got.

If an author is reading this - I expect to get a full version of the game I purchased, which is "Saiko no Sutoka", at which I'm trying to run away from a psycho killer. Not run around in a forest.

Disappointing.

Finally someone who thinks alike, for me this is completely different game, it has no connection between the prequel and whole idea of "extreme love" just disappeared, this became an ordinary run and solve puzzles horror game, 1st game's ai was much better and suiting the character

"spin off"? It looks more like a "let's abandon the main game, stop updating it, and change our priority to this new shitty game we thought of while on a toilet seat"

you are right

It's a halloween spinoff you deadbrained moron. The hell you think you were gonna get? A fully fledged story? They don't use the word SPINOFF for a REASON.
