So here's what I don't get about the story:
The beginning text implies that the mushrooms have information from across history stored in them and that by unlocking this knowledge the main character seeks to become a god. So our character gets some special mushrooms, then puts them in a machine which breaks them down chemically, analyzes them determining how far back the sample goes, then injects the user with a solution that shows them the mushroom's past memories. Somehow after an error occurs the user is stuck in a loop of being stabbed by the needle, despite the fact that the mushroom was already dead when you were injected with its memories, and the fact that the needle in the memory shouldn't be able to induce another flashback because it isn't real.Honestly it’d be cooler if the mushrooms in game actually showed us environments from millions of years ago and we could explore the environments and encounter creepy stuff and forbidden knowledge about earth’s past.
