Cats can technically swim. Also, it's less of a fear, and more like an aversion. Third, some cats do like to swim. Fourth, I think it's just a CaliforniaClan thing. They dislike names that relate to water because California is a desert/chaparral. This is not a personal attack on you, it's just my thoughts on your statement.
