hey, I'm having trouble getting the game to run. extracted the folder, run the .exe, it installs DirectPlay. And from there every time I try to open it I just get a popup "Error! Memory access violation". Have restarted my computer and it persists.

I was promised a bucket of bugs but all I've got is this one!

hmmm, "memory access violation" is the code Blitz Basic gives if it looks for an asset in the exe and it's missing. it might've been extracted wrong and it's still compressed. try extracting it again, maybe with a different program, that's the best idea I've got

hm, 7zip and winrar both have the same thing, and I tried downloading it again, but same thing. that's a shame, it looks cute
