The weekly/bi-weekly reports are honestly discouraging. Not trying to be a downer. Great game.
this is my full time job. The rest of the team is either writing future stuff or fixing past stuff, I'm the only person working on active updates. Not familiar with your game development experience but it's a difficult process, I'm doing a lot of different jobs and I'm making art and animations at a higher quality than most.
Moth is my writing partner, he has a career outside the project, writes most non-family scripts and doesn't do work on active updates. Zakko is my developer and is working through all my old code optimizing and rebuilding a lot of it to run better and be more future-proof. I started this project with no programming experience and there's a lot of early stuff that could have been done better. Since I chose to not stop active development (to avoid an even longer gap while the game is fixed up) Zakko is working to catch up to me, once he does it'll be how most can envision it with him being developer, Moth writing his usual stuff, and me continuing a bit of everything but able to focus more on just art and animation. Zakko also does an absurd amount of work helping with issues I might have during development and on the discord, and he's the main bug tester during post production
