I think if this project will get enough attention it may become a really great horror game.
Since the space topic was always one of the best fields where the ''crops'' of horror genre can ''grow'', I am sure that this game can be turned into something like Slenderman game at least
Edit: Here's an Idea. If you (developer) are looking for evolution of this game, maybe you should change the ending from that jumpscare to the animation of either falling under the surface or for example falling down on the surface, facing the stars and as a sound make it just the static. This way you'll be able to expand the storyline with more stuff.
