FYI I believe that when a third party adds a browser package to play desktop games, it does not save in the same place.
I am guessing you have to start over when switching from browser to downloaded.
I think a third-party likely created that browser version. From what I remember saves are not stored as files, but in the localstorage of the browser. So as Deckardz2019 says, you'll have to start over on the desktop, I think.
