What is the platform and amount of RAM on your device?

Try these steps:
Check if your windows is x64
Place the game folder on the system's main disk, avoid paths with special characters.
Update directx
sorry hadnt been able to get back to it for a while. my system is 64. running w11. did a fresh download of 41 on main disk instead of external. still crash immediatl
