I just cant seem to find the right synergy and so far merging doesn't seem to be doing anything
Also thought I will try the elf hunter but it is attacking teammates not enemies with its effect
That's totally correct. Found the bug and fixed it. It will be in the next update where also merging gives some benefits!Stay tuned!
