Sure, the controls may seem a bit awkward but this actually helps the gameplay a bit I think as it kinda forces you to use both hands for different actions which will in turn lead to slight confusion and require more thinking before pressing.
But if I were to make an actual polished game out of this it would probably have customizable keys. :)
