Any chance of controller support in the future, assuming it wasn't added in already when I wasn't looking? I like this game, but whenever I play it, my WASD keys start acting up.

You can already my friend, although not officially. Add the game to your Steam (non-Steam games category), from there add controller support. You can set it however you want, I found a setting that was quite comfortable for me and I feel very comfortable with it. I hope I have been of help, sorry for my bad English
