Pretty clearly amazing game that seems like it had many talented people working on it who've worked together before. I mean Oroshibu's twitter shows they're making insanely good pixel art, they're programming a plugin for Aesprite, and solo deving and they just decided to fuck around and do the sound here. Save some talent for the rest of us. RenRen does art too like, come now. Feels like a professional studio just decided to make a game jam game and that seems like it's basically the case.

With that said, I'll judge a little more critically since that seems like the level the group is aspiring to.  The Tetris mechanic can screw up the gameplay flow a bit and create impossible to recover situations. The wall jumping is not consistently responsive (probably the biggest issue). I think there could've been more polish on the core gameplay rather than creating the extraordinary amount of levels here. I don't think platformer + tetris is the most creative thing in the world and I find interpreting the theme "build something and then climb (scale) it" to be basic in the sense that just jumping up on something you make to climb a level isn't doing anything different with platforming. It existed in MegaMan almost 40 years ago.

Okay critic hat off, very fun game that deserves its accolades.
