A few rules of thumb I've figured out when testing out potion combinations:
if you have a potion that fizzles you can assume that any third petal you add with the first two petal combination will fizzle... for example: if Cyan+Violet+White fizzles, then anything that STARTS with those first two petals (in this case Cyan and Violet) will end up fizzling
I haven't tested all potions that repeat petal types but from what I can tell they all fizzle, if anyone has found otherwise definitely lmk
