I'll start with the (very little) I thought could be done better. I got lost pretty early on before catching my bearings, I think a minimap similar to Twilight Princess could have done wonders for helping people understand where they are in the level. The camera also felt a little jank here and there with some misplaced (assumedly) collision boxes leading to me getting the wrong angle for the area I was in from time to time. Finally in the final puzzle I felt hiding some crucial pieces behind the player was a little mean, most everything other than the village had the camera changing angle within your field of view so I wasn't prepared to look behind me at all.
Other than that I have no real complaints about the game. It was cute, serene, and had a lot of soul for a world built in only a week. Absolutely loved collecting frogs and I'll be sharing this game with my girlfriend when she gets home <3
I thought your solution to fitting the theme was right on the money. Your game was entirely the calm before the storm.
I'd love to see this game be iterated and improved on for a fully fledged product down the line, if the mechanics are just a bit deeper and the game longer I'd buy this without a doubt.
