Love your reaction about the deaths, if I am counting correctly there are 8 ways to die but 2 share the animation so 7 animations.
The axe is indeed nit NEEDED but that is because there are multiple ways to get to the top so you also don't NEED any of the other tools because there are 2 ways to pass the forest and 2 ways to pass the mountains.
