Running it as admin in cmd did the trick! I'm not quite certain why, but I'm not gonna worry much about that for now lol. WDC once downloaded opens correctly in Win11 after installed as well, I can confirm.
Yeah, that's completely bizarre, but I'm glad it worked!
I'll file away trying it out on a Win 11 VM for a rainy day then.
