Yeah i could have explained it a bit better.
If you turn on the reactors for shields your shield will go up, you die if your ship health goes down. Shields basically take all the damage before it goes to health.
To win you need to turn on the cannons. The tricks is to not overheat reactors while you do that.
Basically you need to monitor hud in top left at all times
