you can use both mouse and keyboard, if you use the mouse, you should just move around with the mouse.
You will need the keyboard for some actions such as the action gauge which is important to progress in few riddles and mini-games

The new game now implements interactive tickling scenes, and it's needed to touch or click over some specific hotspots to progress on these.
Therefore, working both with mouse and keyboard, or specially using mouse or tapping with a touch screen is recommended.
While the keyboard requirement is to handle the action gauge events which shows a gauge bar to process some specific action in the scene.
