Is it possible to defeat the giant during the "Join guards" Route? And if so, how much hp does she have?
Technically possible, but it's designed to be a bad ending where they sent you out to a hopeless fight either way. So in short, no you don't have to beat her, the two bad endings with her are all there is to it.
