Fun fact, in the original demo there were quite a few cards that "stunned" the enemy, but playtesting showed that it was much too powerful to be able to stop an enemy attacking so easily. I do like the idea of "Thunder" cards though, but might need to have some different effect 

What about, like, it does a random (high) number of Damage, but when played, they discard a card from your hand, maybe?

You could still abuse it and fill your deck with filler, and a bunch of stunning cards so its more likely to discard the filler.
