A fairly solid and decently thought out entry. You put work into this and it shows. With polish and refinement, you have the means to make some mean and serious games!
Maybe it's your version of Godot, but much of the graphics layers were all over the place when I tried to play it (I had to play this on a different system, so I don't have screencaps for you):
* Most of the graphics did not adhere to the size of the game box; backgrounds, enemies, all that stuff would float outside the box. It reminds me of the old days when you would play a flash game and you set the screen resolution to something well outside the normal boundaries.
* Cutscene box was at the lop-left corner of the screen, game over panel was at the bottom right, neither were aligned within the game box.
