Played this via the Catalog. It's fantastic. This is my little micro review:
"Don't judge a book by its cover. Despite buying and trying about a million different Playdate games since I got my unit I'd never given EYELAND a look because, in my mind, it was 'just a little tech demo made in Pulp'.
Pulp is the online editor you can use to make simple games for Playdate with limited coding knowledge, and I'd say EYELAND has to be up there as one of the most effective uses of it. The tile based trappings are still there in its movement, but this little adventure has such soul by way of its writing, design, art direction and music, you soon forget its limitations and just sink totally into this cute little story. Borderline Kentucky Route Zero in places, this is a real achievement for the SDK and the Playdate. Loved it."
Good chance I bring this up on the O3C Games podcast next month - listen out!
