If you search you might find some of the threads that will tell you this: the counter for downloads is not reliable. It does not count complete downloads. Someone with a faulty connection can be counted lots and lots of times while trying to download.
Also, if someone wanted to share your game, they could share the game itself. Why bother with the key.
