Do you have a controller attached to your computer?
I vaguely recall something like this when I used to use a controller.
If so please the the Gamepad.txt for details

I do have a controller, but that happens even when I disconnect it. Pressing "G" button to "detach" the controller from the game also had no effect :(

That is weird - can you try restarting the game wihtout the controller attached?

Yes, I did. I don't have any gamepad emulators too. And if it helps - while I was trying to fix this, after restarting an event 3 or 4 times the sound disappeared, most of the track was invisible, and upon trying to get back into the main menu the game just crashed

I dont think that last issue is related to the controls one.

All Shockwave games occasionally run out of all kinds of memory. This can happen faster on some machines with some of the advanced, experimental features on. It is old tech and harder to maintain, which is odd since machines got more powerful :(

About the controls issue - I am out of ideas. I tried on multiple machines with and without controllers, but I could not reproduce.

Yeah - no worries!

It is a shame the tech was (and has become more) difficult to maintain :(
