Ok I- chapter 7 hurts me to my soul. I have a THEORY, and it's hurting me even more, so...

So, after I have been going through all the song, and I noticed something. The song is not only about Jakob but Baxter as well, you might already know that but yeah. The song that is mentioned in the story is; Rose Colored Daze, CINEMA and happy new years. So let me talk about the song one by one, in possibly chronological timeline to make sense of all this. We'll be talking about "maybe" too.
Let's start with CINEMA, I was thinking CINEMA is not about Baxter at all like at all, or so that's what I thought. The lyrics "You invited me over, nowhere near sober. And no one to look at us." this was after the party when Jakob invited Mylo over, again. The next part of lyrics is "You leaned in and whispered something I missed, but it sounded like "I love you"." Jakob never tells Mylo that he loves him only Baxter did, the next is "Oh but you don't seem to like me like I do" when woke up Mylo he got text from Jakob, and Mylo thought was "He likes me, but not like that" fitting the lyrics. "And I'm starting to think this film won't be a love story after all" this kinda hurt me but I like to think it was just a representation of Mylo thought in the moment.
Next up is probably Rose Colored Daze. The first half part of the song is about Jakob like implied in the VN itself. Now let's talk about the lyrics on the second part of the song "You went out at night slurring words out through the phone with your perfect pretty female friends." this is about when Baxter and Mylo was kissing in that night, and Dahlia called for Baxter. And the "Will you kissed sometimes to play pretend." if you remember that convo correctly before the kiss Baxter said "We've gotten pretty good at play pretend. I'm gonna start to think that you're liking it." also fitting the lyrics. The next is "Yeah I was trying not to cry, something-something stick and stones." this is after Mylo runs away, on the way back home he was trying his best not to cry, and well if you do remember he failed to do so. Now move on to the "You would always come right back to me so that meant we were meant to be, but is that true?" I actually have no idea what is this talking about but from my speculation I think it's about both Baxter and Jakob, Jakob would always come back to see Mylo, and Baxter said that he want to be official with Mylo after kissing Dahlia, and the "If it's you... I would wait over forever. will it take over forever to have you?" this is probably about when Dahlia still making up her mind on Baxter, which Mylo wishes for her to moved on from him, and how Jakob still can't comes out, yet.
Now let's talk about maybe before we move on to happy new years. maybe is... to put it simple; heartbreaking, well at least for me. But I digress, let's start with "If you feel what I feel too, if you think of me like I think of you but I know the answer, I do..." talking about Jakob feelings for Mylo, and Mylo feelings for Jakob. "On the weekends, I meet up with my friends and I tell you of them, casually" I think this part and the other part of the lyrics is separated because Mylo can't talk to his friends about Jakob casually, but can talk about Baxter in opposite manners, so I think this one is about Baxter. "Hoping that they'll say that it's love, that I'm made for you and that you're made for me, but I know all they would say is that you're no good for me..." talking about Jakob, clearly. Now on to the bridge "Promise, make it leave and break it. "Love you"; say it. Somebody else comes and loves me, fakes it, kissed me naked. Paints me a deep, scarlet red." talking about both of them, Jakob's empty promises, and how Baxter comes and everything changed, "loves me" and "fakes it" don't need any explanation, but "kissed me naked" probably talking about how Baxter and Mylo kiss in public, "Paints me a deep, scarlet red" is probably about how Baxter always making Mylo blushes and probably referencing his eyes' color and his over all color palette as well. And that last "So maybe, maybe it's true" is probably about Baxter confession on THAT SCENE, the scene that's break everyone's heart(or so I thought).
Now, now, now... On to happy new years, o boys I don't want to talk about this one, it's literally foreshadowing the ending. But once again I digress, let's start shall we? Please remember everything I talk about this song IS a theory all in this paragraph is just a theory please take it for granted. let's start with "I waited for the bell to rings to see how everybody else got their new years kiss" I suspect after everything it's been months and now it's new years. Baxter probably got along with Dahlia and now Mylo is all alone because Jakob, amiright(Laugh please)? "I hated being all alone, but after twenty-something years, you kinda just get used to it" might be foreshadowing of how long have it's been and Mylo is just done with all of this, He's probably success in his music career though, I hope so. "...yet I stayed young inside my head, dreaming a dream of something more, yet I still wake up to an empty bed" yeah... it's not ending really good huh, but I digress again, so it's been long, so long and he's still thinking about Jakob/Baxter, still thinking of how it could've ended up differently. "I will stay the same throughout these tears" this line, this damn line right here hurts me and it hurts me so bad. It is ironic because this is probably about after going through everything with Baxter, Mylo thinks that he has changed, but still, after all of that, he's the same self-destructing dog he always is. "I will never changed, I searched through old photography to see if there was something that I missed of who I used to be" I'm not gonna repeat myself again like a parrot, but still it hurts me. After the breakup, like what mentioned from the VN, the hints in menu screen, and konpeito posts, he probably don't missed anything that is him, because it's only just a painful memories, and because he simply can't, he crossed out everything that is him, his friends, and his ex-lovers perhaps. Or Baxter just keep all those picture of Mylo to himself. This line hurts because it's reflecting how Mylo just can't become his better self. "I broke the mirror to believe the person on the other side couldn't possibly be me." Mylo's probably hating himself for what he had done or what he used to be, for looking at the cold, hard facts and swear they're incorrect. "Love for love's sake just isn't right, yet I still fall in love at first sight" I think this is just Mylo pondering back to when he first met Jakob, but I am not so sure as he confirmed it himself that it's not exactly love at first sight
Now let's discuss the ending there's THREE possibilities in my mind
A. Baxter and Dahlia gets together the band becomes successful and now they're famous. Mylo somewhat moved on from Jakob and focused on his dream yet still pondering about Jakob/Baxter's relationships with him. Baxter is probably just best friend for Mylo now.
B. Mylo and Baxter gets together this is the most straightforward, and happy, and I know everybody want this to be the ending but Konpeito might just shoot an arrow through all of our's heart so be prepared
C. This one's a twist and is the most unlikely to happened, but who knows? Mylo and Jakob gets together and the happy new years song is not about Jakob and Baxter but about Dahlia and Mylo. I think this because we don't know if Baxter fell in love at first sight with Dahlia or not. What if "I broke the mirror to believe the person on the other side couldn't possibly be me." was about Baxter hating himself for running away instead of handling the situation between him and Mylo on THAT night like he would usually do? What if "I will never changed, I searched through old photography to see if there was something that I missed of who I used to be" was him looking through photo of him and Mylo? What if "...yet I stayed young inside my head, dreaming a dream of something more, yet I still wake up to an empty bed" was him trying stay the same cocky cat he is, but is still lonely and still thinking about Mylo. Though very unlikely there still is a slim chance.

Honestly, I have never felt such emotions for so long since I last played Lonely Wolf Treat series, actually you know what? This hit even harder, I had a breakdown recapping the story.
