Yeah he's not wrong, they cover like 60% of her chest. Making them kinda big but not as huge as that would make it look better (tho I wouldn't mind her being able to modify them for newer scenes). Lapis's are perfect though lol.
I think it would make sense if the game use the scene where Amethyst broke her gem as an excuse, and thanks to Steven she can now modify her body without effort.
