I know some players want a lot of lewd scenes, and as soon as possible so they can fap faster :-).
But I prefer a good story. I prefer few lewd scenes, but that such scenes are story wise instead of feeling rushed just for the sack of have some sex scenes...
Not fan of rework, as I saw quit a lot of project abandoned after a rework.
But, I think in your case is not a big deal, as it happen just after the first release. It's the best time to reorient your project in the direction you want.
