Same here. Nearly all the time on multpile saves. Very rarely able to load a save file. Great game though otherwise!
Playing on android, same as comment below for a different bug
In what country was that device sold to you? It might be an issue with the local environment of the device (Unlikely though...)
Do you load a save from the main menu ? Or from in game? (Or both)
Where did you save those save files in game?
Did you wait a little bit? (Might be just loading)
Do you have enough ram? (Might be too many open things at once)
I'm asking all of those questions, because I can't reproduce the issue myself...
